Strobe Wireless Security System - Complete & Expandable Home Security Motion Detector & Alarm System
This complete system guards your home or office using a motion sensor and two other devices that can alert you if a protected window or sliding glass door is opened or broken. If not disarmed by the owner using one of the two included remote controls, it will respond with an ear piercing alarm and flashing light. The flashing light is built-in to the top of the motion detector and has a switch on the side that can be used to keep the light on continuously for emergency lighting during a power outage. The glass break sensors will detect the vibration caused from someone attempting to break in through a window. You can adjust its sensitivity, turn it off, or cause the alarm to sound instantly or after a delay. You can also plug a magnetic contact sensor into the side of the glass break sensor to detect the opening of a door or window. This dual level of security is very important in protecting sliding glass doors. A burglar will be detected if he attempts to break the glass or if he attempts to pry the door open. The system includes a wireless, external siren which can be mounted on the outside your home or business. If the motion detector, the glass break sensor, or the magnetic contact detects an intruder it will send a signal (RF) to the external siren that will also respond with an ear piercing siren and flashing light. With siren sounding and lights flashing both inside and outside your home or business, the burglar will be scared off and those in the area will be alerted to the attempted burglary. The system also includes a lightweight remote panic alarm that can be attached to a key chain or worn around the neck. This can be used by an elderly person who has fallen down to get help from neighbors. Additional remotes can be purchased separately. If you have a very large home or business you can purchase two units to give you twice the components listed above, as multiple sets will work together. |

Ice Cube wrote and stars as Craig in this sequel to Friday, which he also wrote. His nemesis from that film, neighborhood bully Debo (Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr.), has just escaped from county jail and is out to get revenge. To protect Craig, Craig's father (John Witherspoon) sends his son to stay with his Uncle Elroy (Don "DC" Curry), who won the lottery and bought a house in Rancho Cucamonga. Craig expects the suburbs to be dull, but no sooner has he arrived than conflicts arise: The neighbors are hostile hoods, his cousin's girlfriend is out for blood and child support, and the house is about to be seized because of unpaid taxes. It's up to Craig and his cousin Day-Day (Mike Epps) to solve these problems before the day is over. It's a rambling, loose movie, but a genuinely entertaining one. Ice Cube doesn't write punch lines--though funny lines abound. He writes richly comic characters that speak in virtual arias of bragging, complaining, and scamming. Sure, some of the characters are stereotypes and many of the jokes are about drugs and scatology--but that's been the basis of humor since Plautus and Molière. The rhythmic energy of Ice Cube's dialogue and the easy charisma of his performance make Next Friday thoroughly enjoyable. --Bret Fetzer |

The idea of a soulful pimp as the hero of a movie will strike some viewers as objectionable and perhaps even repellent, but Terrence Dashon Howard's complex and fierce performance will challenge such easy moral decisions. DJay (Howard, Crash, The Best Man) hustles a small stable of whores, including corn-rowed Nola (Taryn Manning, A Lot Like Love). When he learns that former local rapper turned superstar named Skinny Black (real life rapper Ludacris) is coming back to town for the 4th of July, DJay teams up with a frustrated sound engineer (Anthony Anderson, Kangaroo Jack) and a geeky musician (DJ Qualls, Road Trip) to put together a demo tape that he hopes will be his ticket to fame and fortune. What's most impressive about Hustle & Flow is that it doesn't oversell its hero. DJay's aspirations are more economic than poetic--he's not out to create art, he just wants a better life. This lack of pretension allows the movie to capture a genuine sense of how creativity can improve people's lives, which surprises DJay as much as anyone. The movie's other strength is a keen eye for social behavior, in particular the ways in which DJay manipulates everyone around him. Howard, who's almost always stood out in every movie he's made, plays these scenes with what can only be called smooth desperation.
