The Hannah Montana special edition soundtrack arrives so coolly p ackaged and with such a bonanza of extras that it might even induce budget-conscious tweens who already own the original to break open their piggy banks a second time. All the same hyper-charged, deliriously fun songs are here--the Radio Disney hit "If We Were a Movie" and the speaker-hazardous "Pumpin' up the Party" included--but so is a new number, "Nobody's Perfect," that again reaches out with a message from Miley Cyrus, a.k.a. Hannah, without mitigating the sky-high mood. Toe-tapping, indeed, is mandatory. Throughout. Other deluxe-edition tack-ons include signed snaps of the double-life-leading superstar, a certificate for a free "This Is the Life" ringtone, and a starter course of celebrity dish: in addition to a concert sliver featuring "Nobody's Perfect" on disc two (the DVD), Miss Cyrus leads her breathless fans on chummy, if minimally revealing, backstage tour. --Tammy La Gorce Hannah Montana Photos

LOST fans have been going crazy waiting for this Season 3 soundtrack. And here it is! Finally! And this one is special. Composer Michael Giacchino composed some of his most complex and captivating music for LOST's third season. The season contained so many highlights that we couldn't squeeze them all onto a single CD! So here's our own LOST surprise ... Disc One of this Season 3 soundtrack contains the best music from the season up to the two-hour finale. Disc Two features the complete original score from the two-part finale episode Through The Looking Glass. No fan of LOST will be able to do without this one! Michael Giacchino's music for LOST has consistently ranked among the medium's very best and for the third season he was really able to let loose. His music is moving, compelling, more than a little tense, mysterious and heartbreakingly beautiful. LOST Season 3 is the soundtrack everyone has been waiting for and now we offer more than could have even be hoped for. 2 CDs for little more than a single! |

What fun! This soundtrack of the film adaptation of the Broadway musical overflows with glossy, ol' fashioned '60s-style pep. It won't win any awards for innovation, but it may well be one of the most feel-good releases of the year. While not quite as super-energetic as the original Broadway cast, the new crew ain't too shabby: Nikki Blonsky delivers as Tracy Turnblad and Zac Efron (High School Musical) makes for a devoted boyfriend, and the supporting cast gleefully embraces the show's silly-but-generous spirit. John Travolta (who gets to utter the particularly ironic line "it's been years since someone asked me to dance") goes drag as Tracy's mom, Edna, while Michelle Pfeiffer's slight stiffness is appropriate for her uptight character, especially on the cha-cha "(The Legend of) Miss Baltimore Crabs." After Mama Morton in Chicago, Queen Latifah puts in another brassy turn as Motormouth Maybelle ("Big, Blonde and Beautiful," which is then reprised by Travolta and Pfeiffer). The show's authors, Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, have written three new numbers for the movie: the rollicking (and first single) "Ladies' Choice," "New Girl in Town" and "Come So Far." In addition, the CD also includes two tracks that aren't in the film but were in the show: "Cooties," sung by Aimee Allen, and "Mama, I'm a Big Girl Now," sung by all three Tracy Turnblads: Blonsky, Ricki Lake (from the source movie) and Marissa Jaret Winokur (from the original Broadway cast). --Elisabeth Vincentelli |

THE NATURE OF REALITY COURSEThe true nature of reality is stranger than you can imagine! The world we take for granted to be solid and separate from us has been shown by the 'new science' of quantum physics to be a trick of the senses. Quantum physics can show that the apparent 'materiality' of the world is no more and no less 'real' than a dream-image; that 'consciousness' is a vital element in understanding the true nature of reality. A number of eminent physics professors have stated quite clearly that 'matter', 'energy' and 'consciousness' are the same thing. You no longer have to be content with the world view presented by so-called mainstream sources, which have left many people dissatisfied, and with good reason, as the following summary shows. Most religions teach that we live in a universe supposedly presided over by a loving and peaceful God, but fail to explain why immense human suffering can be seen or experienced in life, particularly in 'natural' disasters such as a tsunami or earthquake. Classical science, with its mechanical view of the universe, has failed to explain phenomena such as telepathy, remote viewing or out of body experiences, to name just a few. These phenomena are far too well documented to be dismissed, so they must be incorporated into a plausible world view. 'New age' belief systems borrow from the eastern philosophies and talk about the 'wholeness' of reality or that everything is 'one', but then continue to philosophise about the nature of reality in 'dualistic' terms of 'spiritual' and 'physical'. It is a real detriment to understanding the true nature of reality if 'dualism' is part of the belief system. So how do we find our way through this 'minefield' without wasting years studying systems which turn out to be unsatisfactory or even worthless; which make promises of revealing secrets but don't answer any of the big questions about life and world events? Although the progress of quantum physics has brought science closer towards what the ancient eastern philosophies have been alluding to for thousands of years, neither quantum physics nor eastern philosophy explains those ideas in words and concepts that are of practical use in everyday life. The Nature of Reality Course by NoR combines the wisdom of the east with the science of the west in a way that is accessible to all. The Course is internationally acclaimed in over 25 countries and will completely change your view of who you think you are and what life really is. Discover the true nature of reality and take control of your life. This collection will include a limited color repaint called Blackout Version 4500X, which has the same markings Blackout has in the movie, a limited color (metallic?) Scorponok figure and a 2 Brass Pin set of the Autobot and Decepticon logos. Though Blackout is one of the larger Decepticons, his action figure counterpart is one of the smaller robots in the Voyager Class. A bulky robot with a foreboding dark-washed face sculpt, Blackout is reasonably well articulated, and is equipped with a spinning blade grinder weapon. Having previously served as Megatronās right hand, Blackout rankles frequently under the tentative leadership of Starscream. Blackout consequently suspects Starscreamās self-serving ulterior motive in the latterās attempt to relocate Megatron, although Blackout seems to fall short in his attempts to usurp Starscreamās authority. Blackoutās outsize dimensions and straightforward aggressiveness are counterbalanced by his symbiotic partnership with Scorponok. Scorponokās brand of warfare is based heavily in ambush-style tactics. |
